Our Story
We started over 25 years ago instructing new drivers as they prepared for their driver’s test. Our goal then and today is to teach the practice of safe driving, specifically defensive driving.

Teen Drivers

You can start to learn to drive and get your license at a very early age. But this comes with a lot of responsibility. Teenage drivers are new to the roadway. If you have someone in your household who is nearing the age to drive, it is a great idea to talk to them while in the car. Teach them the importance of driving safely, paying attention, and not getting distracted.

According to the CDC, motor vehicle fatalities are one of the leading causes of death among teenagers. Many of these tragic incidents can be prevented by teaching teenagers always to wear a seat belt and to stay attentive while driving.

Ways you can minimize the risk of a driving fatality are:

How Does Alcohol Affect Driving

Drinking impairs much of your motor and cognitive reasoning. It impairs your thinking, reaction time, muscle coordination, and reasoning. It is illegal to drive in all 50 states if your BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) is .08 or higher.

 

Risks of Driving After Drinking

Alcohol-related accidents significantly increase the risk of fatalities, with a person being seven times more likely to be in an accident if their BAC is .08 or higher. The number of these incidents has remained relatively stable over the past couple of years and has risen in some years. Remember, even one death from drinking and driving is too many. When you drink and drive, you not only put yourself at risk but also endanger others on the road.
